I started performing in my hometown of Houston, TX in fifth grade and it quickly became my life. I spent my teen years devouring scripts from the library, and chose to direct The Loman Family Picnic for my senior year of highschool theatre project. I fell in love with leading a group of people to tell a story that put my experience onstage in a way I, nor my community, had never seen.

My time as a Directing major at Webster Conservatory was spent mounting ambitious productions with any and every resource we could find. Those productions (specifically Beirut, Trojan Women, and Generation Z) taught me how to bring together a group of artists to make something viscerally exciting and engaging.

My interest expanded from the art of storytelling to the art of making it possible. I felt a calling to artistic leadership and sought out mission based organizations. I served as an intern for Shakespeare in the Park and after graduating, worked as Michael Friedman's full time intern during his tenure as the New York City Center Encores! Off-Center Artistic Director. This was then followed by an Artistic Internship at Manhattan Theatre Club and a tour with the Public's Mobile Unit.

I joined the Public's full time staff as Ruth Sternberg's assistant and most notably served as the Manager of Designer Relations throughout the pandemic. In this role that I conceptualized, I managed the curation and contracting of designers and assistant designers for productions and artistic programs, as well as assist in budgeting shows and reinforcing artistic scopes. During my tenure the Public achieved its commitment to hiring designers representative of the NYC demographics, much in part to the reformations I heralded such as aggressive designer scouting and investing in earlier career designers. Throughout my many years in the Production, I have come to understand how many different people must work on a production, and it is how we treat our crew, overhire workers, designers, stage managers, assistant designers, as well as our artists, community, and staff, that we demonstrate our values of anti-racism, equity, and inclusion.

I am currently working in Little Island's Artistic Department as their General Manager. Alongside my full time job, I have continued directing and educational work. My directing has been seen at The New Ohio, NYU/Atlantic Acting School, The Tank, Columbia University, and Stevens Institute, among others. I have also worked as a guest lecturer at Oklahoma University and Webster Conservatory, mentoring their senior design students as they prepare for graduation.

Aside from the theatre, I love visual art, politics, music, and traveling (over 20 countries and counting!). I am the youngest of three siblings, uncle to the BEST niece and nephew, and parent to Godot, a pandemic rescue pup.
